Just Watching

The Windows desktop may sometimes seem dull and boring for some users. That's because one may get bored seeing the same desktop wallpaper, over and over again. The feature which changes the wallpaper automatically from time to time isn't available in Windows XP, just in Windows 7. Fortunately, there is an application which allows you to put a live webcam on your desktop, changing the wallpaper as the webcam feed changes.

I am talking about the Just Watching application. This simple Windows program allows you to set almost any webcam from around the world as a Windows wallpaper. In this way, you will always have a new wallpaper image and you will make your Windows desktop more enchanting.

After installing and launching the application, the user will only need to select the desired webcam, by choosing from the many available. Just Watching includes webcams from all over the world and has them all organized in groups, for making it easier to find a certain webcam. Each webcam can be scheduled to update the wallpaper image at a certain interval of time.

After selecting the desired webcam, the user will just need to click on the Build Webcam option, found in the drop-down menu. Optionally, he can customize the way the wallpaper will look, before applying it. As such, he will be able to select the webcam resolution and the number of columns, in case one wishes to have several webcams displayed in the same wallpaper.
